Abstract

The aim of the research is to examine the categories young people deem important in construing the images of happiness and the experience of being happy with regard to work and leisure, or rather to explore whether the reality of work and leisure and the images interlocutors have of them influence their ideas of happiness. Happiness will be viewed as an emotional state, while work and leisure will be approached as neutral terms. The data was gathered through fieldwork – using interviews – conducted in Belgrade using a sample of 10 young and work capable individuals.
