Abstract

For the purpose of illustrating the ways in which „knowledge“ is made in anthropology and bringing closer the image of the nature of that knowledge, and its eventual usability, in this paper I offered a short review of anthropology’s contribution to the study of education during the 20th century. In this way, I attempted to answer several questions: how do anthropologist, who are interested in the educational processes, collect the informations, what are the most common areas of their research in that area, what sorts of knowledge can we expect from their works, and could anthropological knowledge be “useful” to us somehow?
